LSU Vs. Auburn

Redemption Game kickoff is 6:30 PM! Remember the LSU-Auburn game billed as the "earthquake game?" Some of us were in the stands when the roar of the crowd when Eddie Fuller scored in the North End was so loud that the seismic equipment recorded it in the Geology Dept. Some say it was the student section that increased the decibels. Others say it was a fitting end to an amazing comeback with so little time remaining and against a favored opponent. Still others say 92,000 fans in Death Valley didn't hurt, especially since they had very little to cheer about up till then. (And you can only keep pent-up energy and passion bottled up for so long. Four quarters are too much!)

Saturday's game is truly the beginning of the rest of our season. What LSU stands for has to be on display without compromise from this weekend on. Even with one loss, we control our own destiny and can still travel the "road to the dome" in December for a rematch. With a bye week under our belt and virtually everyone healthy, we're playing one game at a time. No exception! The pundits are still favoring the SEC Champion to be half of the National Championship game. It way as well be us!

Auburn comes into Tiger Stadium with as much or more offensive weapons than any we've faced and anything less than a complete effort from our Tigers will take us out of BCS consideration. And that goes for our watch parties. We are returning to Sherlock's and Marcus White and his staff have prepared a complimentary jambalaya for our members (Alumni supplied recipe) so enjoy the tastiness of southern cuisine as we did at Fox & Hound at our last game.

Plan to arrive early as seating an hour before the FLA game was almost non-existent. Let's fill our locations with passionate Tiger faithful who bleed purple! Fox & Hound, Sherlock's and Wings, Pizza and More will be rockin' on Saturday. You don't want to miss it. Someone told me that they could stay home and watch the game on their TV but why miss out on enjoying it with a hundred or more!

For those who cannot attend or will be out of town, you can purchase your Texas Tiger Tees and we'll ship them to you. Just click on the icon on our home page. And if you have not completed your membership application or renewal, you can use the membership link to take care of this. Over 145 new members have joined this year alone. Don't keep whining about never finding the "round tuit!" Do it today! You'll be glad you did and we'll invest your dues to create more scholarships for DFW students. If you've wondered how you can give back to LSU, we can take care of a part of that for you. Join us now. Be an active alumni!
