Less than 6 weeks to geaux! With daylight savings time looming next weekend, it's apparent that our LSU Crawfish Boil is right around the corner. You can order tables of 6 or 8, individual servings for crawfish, jambalaya or for the first time, a combination of servings of crawfish and jambalaya. In addition, you can become a member or renew for 2010-2011. Take advantage of the discount for 2 on crawfish boil tickets by becoming a member of our Dallas Chapter. 20 new members have joined since the first of the year. If you haven't joined us or renewed, now is the time. (Click on the Crawfish Boil icon for the order form).
You can also make a contribution to our scholarship fund on your order form making this the most comprehensive and simplest way to take care of all avenues of support for our scholarship fund in one transaction. Tables are being snapped up daily so get your list together and place your order for the area that you desire. You don't want to be late!
Silent Auction
We are currently receiving items for our silent and live auctions. If you or your associates or company have items to donate, such as gift certificates, memorabilia, products, etc, these are all tax deductible as we are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Contact

Additional Activities
In addition to our April 17th Crawfish Boil, we've added one more watch party this month. On Saturday, March 27th, our No. 1 ranked LSU Tiger Baseball team will be playing Tennessee at 2 PM and for the first time ever, the LSU Spring Football Game will be televised beginning at 3 PM that afternoon. So with 2 major telecasts, we'll be holding our watch parties at our new triumphant of locations. That's right! We've grown to THREE watch locations with Press Box Grill Downtown, Sherlock's by North Park and Fox & Hound in N Dallas off the George Bush Tollway. Each will be staffed for memberships, Texas Tiger Tees and Crawfish Boil order forms on the 27th. (Press Box Grill will offer valet parking that afternoon as well as during the fall football season).
SEC Mixer

Hey, gang. What time is it? It's time for the biggest gathering of LSU alumni and fans - our 31st Annual LSU Crawfish Boil at Double D Ranch in Mesquite. Last year's transition to Double D allowed us to expand to the largest number of participants in our Dallas Chapter's history - over 800! This year promises to be not only bigger, but better! We've added more crawfish and beer lines to make lines shorter and faster. We'll have great items again for this year's Silent Auction - and autographed Paul Maineiri Championship Baseball, an autographed Les Miles football, and even a Russell Shepard game day helmet! You don't want to miss it!

20K in 2010! At our first monthly Board meeting this year, our Board announced the creation of our goal for 2010. You'll read more of it later.
Just this past week, the annual State of the Union address was given. In keeping with transparency policies, we strive to inform you of what has taken place in the past 12 months. George Washington's original State of the Union address lasted 5 minutes. The last one given took over 70 minutes to complete. I'll try to mimic the former and not the latter in our synopsis of growth.

Happy Safe New Year and less than 48 hours to kickoff! May 2010 be your best year ever. And to start off the '10s, plan to shake off the cob webs of the 0h-0h decade and join us for our Bloody Mary Bars at both Fox & Hound as well as Sherlock's as we get ready for the 10th victory of the 2009 season and the 1st in the new decade.

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and a Bowlin' we will Geaux! And where better than the premier bowl sponsored by one of our premium sponsors- Capital One Bank. New Year's Day at noon will pit our LSU Tigers against the Penn State Nittany Lions in a rematch of our last meeting 36 years ago in the Orange Bowl. For those of you who weren't around at that time, our Tigers, led by All American Bert Jones, finally succumbed to the brute size of Penn State, led by Heisman Trophy winner John Cappelletti, to the tune of 16-9. This marks the 41st appearance in a year end bowl for LSU and the 10th year in a row (9th longest bowl streak in the nation.)
